1960s
Kenneth Scanavino '63 B.A., Physical Education writes, "I'm a double retiree. In 1985 I retired after teaching and coaching for 20 years. I retired again in 2008 as an agent of Farmer’s Insurance. I'm working with seniors now and still maintain a health and life insurance agency/brokerage (Scanavino Insurance) with over 350 small businesses and individuals throughout Northern California as customers. I welcome all alums, and referrals are greatly appreciated. We live in Shingle Springs." MEMBER

Nina O'Brien '74 B.A.,'76 M.A., Psychology, writes, "I've stayed very active in the community and have enjoyed a variety of activities and volunteer opportunities. Among them: member of AAUW, Vestry Member of St. George's Episcopal Church, a member of the Sacramento County Taxpayer's League and Sacramento Republican Women. I volunteer with Sacramento Library Literacy Program. I am the proud grandmother of Sean O'Brien, Class of '09, and I live in Citrus Heights. MEMBER
1980s
John Young '89 B.S., Business Administration, has worked for Yolo County for the past 18 years and is now the Agricultural Commissioner. "Yolo County is truly a great place to work and live," Young said in a news release. "Even in these difficult economic times Yolo County agriculture is a bright spot and I am enthusiastic about my opportunity to serve the constituents of Yolo County in this new role." Young and his wife, Shannan, live in Woodland.
1990s
Michael Goold '94 B.S., Criminal Justice, works for the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department as the Bureau Commander in their 9-1-1 Center. He recently earned his doctoral degree from the University of La Verne and studied traumatic stress in 9-1-1 telecommunicators for his dissertation. He and his wife, Rene, live in the Sacramento area with their four children.
Robyn Tornay ’96 B.A., English; ‘03 M.A., Educational Leadership, recently accepted the position of Director, Admissions & Enrollment Services at Woodland Community College. Woodland is the 110th California Community College and was recently accredited in 2008. She previously held the Assistant Registrar position at Napa Valley College from 2006-2009 prior to accepting this position. MEMBER
2000s
David Whitt '03 B.S., Vocational Education, is the Fire Chief for the City of Lincoln, population 39.000+, and one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. Situated north of Sacramento and Roseville, the department has three full-time stations and one volunteer station to service the city and a large rural area. David enjoys being a Scout Leader and he and his wife have four children. MEMBER
