The Mocktail . . . A Real Success

Alumni and students came together to practice their networking skills at the Holiday Mocktail Party at the Alumni Center on Wednesday, December 1. In advance of the party, current students and recent grads were invited to participate in a 30-minute training session on networking.

Stinger Crabfeed
Saturday, February 5, 2011


Each year nearly 500 people show their support for Hornet sports and affinity for shellfish at the annual Stinger Crab Feed. Proceeds support women's and men's athletic scholarships.

Mark Fairbank '81MarkFairbank

Getting aneducation was not an easy task for Sacramento State alumnus Mark Fairbank. He struggled with a learning disability through elementary school and high school but never gave up his dream of being a teacher. The extra effort required to overcome dyslexia, a condition in which letters can appear transposed, paid off though, and Fairbank recently won the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
