Are you a skier or snowboarder? Come to the largest northern California college fundraising event, the annual Ski Swap. Hosted by the Sac State Snow Club, attendees can sell and buy used snow equipment, with some new equipment on hand at discounted pricing.

Sacramento Business Review forecast is upbeat

Sacramento Business ReviewThe Sacramento region’s economy is continuing to improve as forecasted in January. Real estate recovery, decreasing unemployment and more can be found in the midyear update of Sacramento Business Review. The report, published by Sac State’s College of Business Administration and the Chartered Financial Analyst Society of Sacramento, is now available.

Solar DecathlonSac State’s Solar Decathlon 2015 team debuted its house design on a global scale – to a group of foreign energy professionals. The delegation, guests of the U.S. State Department and a part of its International Visitor Leadership Program, visited campus to hear about the students’ 18-month preparation for the Oct. 8-18, 2015 competition.

Biomedical TeamSac State’s biomedical team recently was cited as the one best positioned to bring advanced laboratory research to the marketplace. The team consisted of biological sciences student and two professors who clearly demonstrated the potential of applied research.

School of Nursing is gaining fiscal momentum


School of NursingThe Sac State School of Nursing’s three-year campaign to raise $1.8 million for equipment, technology, furnishings and supplies for its Folsom Hall move has exceeded expectations. That’s good news as it allowed for increased classroom and laboratory space and boosted the number of high-fidelity simulation laboratories from two to seven.

SoccerSac State senior forward Chimdum Mez out-jumped Cal State Fullerton goalkeeper David Elias Rodriguez in front of the Titan goal and headed home the winning goal just under the crossbar in a 1-0 double overtime victory on Saturday at Hornet Field.
