Sac State football upsets CU Boulder
As time expired, Edgar Castaneda's 30-yard field goal provided Sac State with a 30-28 victory over Colorado, Saturday afternoon in front of 46,843 fans. The victory evened the Hornets' record at 1-1 and gave the team its second win over a Pac-12 school in as many years. Full story

Alumna discovers new spider family
Tracy Audisio '10 (Biological Sciences) is a budding arachnologist and co-author of the description of the new spider family Trogoraptoridae, which was featured by CNN, BBC Today, The New York Times, "PBS News Hour," Popular Science and Scientific American among many other national and international media. Welcome, new Hornets!

Alumni couple is making a difference
To husband and wife business partners Margi '68 (Nursing) and John ’68 (Marketing) Herzog, family comes first. The lifelong “best friends,” who met as fourth graders at a Mt. Shasta elementary school, have a marriage 44 years strong, three children and five grandchildren.
