Sacramento State receives WASC accreditation

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) has reaffirmed the accreditation of Sacramento State.

Sac State receives grant for research equipment

The National Science Foundation awarded a $655,125 grant to Sacramento State to purchase high-tech equipment to research the structure of molecules. The grant, awarded July 29, was funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

University Fund meets scholarship need

Dozens of Sac State students will receive scholarships this semester through the support of donors to the University Fund. Nearly $42,000 has been made available to the scholarship program, thanks to contributions by alumni and friends of the University during the annual phonathon campaign.

Sacramento philanthropist Frederick Teichert, MBA ’95, was honored at a campus reception held by Sacramento State President Alexander Gonzalez to mark the May 22 conferral of the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humane Letters upon him by the Board of Trustees of the California State University and Sacramento State.
