Deadline: March 1
Do you know any current or incoming Sac State students? Please encourage them to apply for an Alumni Association scholarship! Each year we award 12-15 scholarships to incoming freshman, continuing undergraduates and graduate students. All applications are due by March 1, no exceptions.

Network with fellow hornets at our upcoming mixer at SMA, America, LLC in Rocklin. Hosted by the Business and ECS Chapters, this mixer will provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the solar technology industry. All alumni are invited to attend! Space is limited so RSVP now!

Sacramento State is celebrating Black History Month with a lineup of informative and entertaining events. The highlight is the February 19 annual Super Sunday event, when representatives from Sacramento State and the California State University system will visit churches in the city’s African American community, urging young people, and their parents, to begin planning for college.

Brian Berry '07
A Sacramento State alumnus is credited with helping reunite two brothers who were separated for nearly 60 years. Even though Brian Berry ’07 had never met Minoru Ohye, 86, or Hiroshi Kamimura, 84, he felt compelled to help. Berry, a current Ph.D. student at the University of Tokyo, first heard about the brothers’ story when his former Sacramento State Japanese professor contacted him.
