Alumni Association Awards Scholarships

Thanks to the generosity of its members and supporters, each year the Alumni Association awards 12 -15 scholarships for incoming, continuing and graduate students. The deadline to apply is March 1.

Career Fairs in February

The Career Center is hosting two career fairs in February. The first on February 16 is an open event featuring more than 80 employers looking to fill entry-level positions. More info

Nursing Students Tackle Community Needs

Sacramento State nursing students are reaching out to people who don't have access to traditional health providers and medical care. Students enrolled in Sacramento State's Community Health Nursing course are given public health assignments, working at entities such as schools and public health agencies, and holding immunization clinics.

Physical Therapy Doctorate Moves Forward

If all goes according to plan, Sacramento State will offer a Doctor of Physical Therapy program beginning in 2012. The California State University Board of Trustees approved having Sacramento State move forward with planning for the program

Grant to Unlock High-Tech Creativity in Youths

The Sacramento State/UC Davis Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) program will be able to help even more educationally disadvantaged students following the award of a $740,489 grant from the National Science Foundation.

February 2 was signing day for football recruits around the nation. Sac State expanded its roster with some new talent, twenty-six in total.

Eddie Kho, ’77, earned a B.S. in Engineering and Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering in 1985 from Sacramento State, and then taught here for over three years. He has more than three decades of experience in the field of civil engineering and is now President and CEO of Morton & Pitalo, one of the oldest civil engineering, land planning, land surveying and landscape architectural companies in the region.
