Golden Grads

In 1959 Sac State students paid 25 cents per gallon to fill their tanks and drive to class. If you wanted to see a movie after an exhausting day of tests, that would be one dollar. Times have certainly changed for graduates of this era, many of whom will be returning to campus for their 50 year reunion on Friday, October 9.

The Golden Grads Reunion is an annual event hosted by the Alumni Association. It celebrates the lives of alumni who graduated from Sacramento State 50 or more years ago. This year’s reunion invites classes 1949 – 1959 for a lunch and walk down memory lane that will include viewing of memorabilia and photos from the era in which they attended. Faculty and staff who worked on campus during these years are also invited to attend.
